Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate for Barbuda, Kendra Beazer, has pledged to put residents' interests at the forefront of his leadership if elected in the April 30 general election. According to Antigua News Room, Beazer made the commitment during his campaign launch, insisting that true leadership must be rooted in service rather than self-interest.

"I vow to represent your best interest at every point in this journey," Beazer told supporters gathered at the event.

Beazer called on voters to approach the election as a decision about community wellbeing rather than political allegiance. "You are electing a representative to look out for your best interest, not somebody that is going to look out for themselves," he said.

He framed his campaign as a "labour movement for the people of Barbuda", centred on themes of unity, resilience and empowerment. He also stressed that Barbuda's distinct needs demand tailored solutions, arguing that a "one size fits all" approach would fail the island's residents.

Beazer is set to face Barbuda People's Movement (BPM) candidate Trevor Walker when voters go to the polls on April 30.
