Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) candidate Kendra Beazer has launched a pointed campaign offensive against his political opponent in the Barbuda constituency, arguing that years of incumbent representation have produced little tangible benefit for the island's residents. According to Antigua.news, Beazer made the remarks during his official campaign launch, where he addressed supporters directly.
Beazer did not mince words, contending that after thousands of days in government, there is "nothing substantial" to show for the people of Barbuda. The critique formed the backbone of his campaign launch address, as he sought to draw a sharp contrast between his candidacy and the existing leadership.
"This is your time now to stand up and be counted," Beazer told the crowd, urging residents to demand better from their elected representation.
Central to Beazer's pitch is the argument that Barbuda requires a stronger, more dedicated voice at the national level — particularly within Cabinet. He framed the upcoming general election as a defining moment for the island, calling on Barbudans to reclaim their representation and elect leadership that places their needs at the forefront.
"We are going to send somebody to speak on the issues of Barbuda," he said, signalling his intent to ensure the island's concerns are no longer sidelined in national discourse.
Beazer also struck a unifying tone, rallying what he called "reds and friends" to stand together behind a shared vision for Barbuda's future.
"This fight is for each and every one of you who call Barbuda home," he declared, as he sought to build momentum ahead of the general election.
