The Antigua and Barbuda Union of Teachers (A&BUT) is urging members who have not yet received their retroactive salary payments to come forward and report their cases, pushing back against circulating social media claims that all teachers have been paid.

According to Antigua Observer, Union President Casroy Charles confirmed that a communiqué was issued Friday to address growing anxiety among members regarding the outstanding back pay.

Charles made clear that reports spreading on social media suggesting all teachers have received their retroactive payments are false. The union's call to action signals that a number of members remain without payment and that the issue has not yet been fully resolved.

The union is asking affected teachers to report their unpaid cases directly, as A&BUT works to ensure all members receive the retroactive salary they are owed.
