The Antigua and Barbuda Public Service Association (ABPSA) has installed a new leadership team following elections held at its recent annual general meeting, according to Antigua News Room.

Janela Evanson was elected president, succeeding Joan Peters, who did not seek re-election. Evanson previously served the association as general secretary.

Jannelle Wehner-Watts returns to the executive in the role of vice-president. Karis George has been appointed general secretary, while Sandra Benta-Richards takes on the responsibilities of treasurer.

The broader executive also includes Dr. Janelle O'Mard, Dr. Desiree Antonio, Orrin Steele, Jenique Joseph, and Garolyn Cornelius-Hector.

Several shop stewards were elected to represent workers across the public service: Onesha Elvin, Jeannette Mason, Sabrina Carlisle, Craig Martin, Delma Jules-St. Agnes, and Verlyn Charles, who was returned to the post. Kerry-Ann Mussington and Adrian Julian will serve as trustees.

The newly installed executive will oversee the association's operations and represent public sector workers over the coming year.
