The large turnout reflected both the scale of demand for jobs among young citizens and a clear willingness to contribute to national development.
For many, the day marked the end of a period of uncertainty — whether brief or prolonged. "I haven't been working for three months, and I am happy that my frustration has ended for now," said one young man from Grays Farm, expressing visible relief at finally securing an opportunity to earn.
Another applicant arrived determined to change his circumstances. "I heard they have jobs for young people, so I came to apply," he said — a sentiment shared by the many others who lined up in hopes of being selected.
The initiative aligns with the government's repeated calls for young people to take advantage of the employment pathways being created as part of broader efforts to expand economic participation and build a more inclusive national economy.
