The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) is preparing to launch its election manifesto this week, unveiling a policy document expected to serve as the cornerstone of its campaign ahead of the upcoming general election.
According to Antigua News Room, Prime Minister Gaston Browne confirmed that the manifesto — spanning more than 100 pages — has been completed, with printed copies expected to arrive within days prior to the official rollout.
Browne indicated that the launch will proceed once the physical documents are received, marking the beginning of a more policy-driven phase of the party's campaign.
The Prime Minister also suggested the party had deliberately held back details of the document to prevent rival parties from adopting elements of its proposals before the official unveiling.
The manifesto is expected to outline the ABLP's vision for economic development, social programmes and governance, as voters prepare to head to the polls later this month.
Its release is widely expected to sharpen the tone of the campaign, with political parties set to present competing platforms in the final stretch before election day.
