The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party has ratified its complete slate of candidates for the upcoming general election, formalising the party's lineup at its national convention held Sunday at the People's Place on Lady Nugent Avenue.

According to Antigua News Room, General Secretary Shenella Govia announced that the party's Central Executive had approved all candidates and caretakers ahead of a delegate vote at the convention.

"The Central Executive further resolves that the candidates and caretakers for the constituencies who will represent the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party at the upcoming general elections… shall be as follows," Govia told party members as she read the list aloud.

Delegates formally endorsed the full slate unanimously, cementing the party's electoral lineup ahead of the April 30 vote.

Among those ratified were Kendra Beazer for Barbuda, Dr. Philmore Benjamin for St Mary's North, Michael Joseph for St John's Rural West, Dwayne George for St Mary's South, Randy Baltimore for St Philip North, and Prime Minister Gaston Browne for St John's City West.

Several sitting ministers and senior party figures also featured on the confirmed list, including E.P. Chet Greene in St Paul, Daryll Matthew in St John's Rural South, Maria Browne in St John's Rural East, and Charles Fernandez in St John's Rural North.

The ratification represents a significant milestone in the ABLP's election preparations, as the party moves to mobilise support across all constituencies in the weeks remaining before polling day.
