A trespassing case against 16 members and supporters of the United Progressive Party (UPP) has collapsed after prosecution witnesses failed to appear in court, according to Antigua Observer.
The matter, which stemmed from an event dubbed a "Beach-A-Cade" held on Whit Monday last June, had been before the courts for nearly a year before reaching its conclusion.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the case involved 16 UPP members and supporters who faced trespassing charges connected to the beach event. The absence of prosecution witnesses proved fatal to the case, ultimately leading to its dismissal.
