St. John's Rural East Member of Parliament Maria Bird Browne has placed community development and infrastructure improvements at the centre of her re-election campaign.
According to Antigua News Room, Browne highlighted progress made over the past two years, with particular emphasis on roadworks and upgrades to local facilities. She identified persistent drainage and flooding issues in areas including the Gardens and Sutherland as a key priority, stating that solutions will be guided by technical assessments from hydrology experts.
Browne also outlined plans for a housing renewal initiative that would transform abandoned or underused land into new residential developments, with the aim of revitalising older neighbourhoods across the constituency.
