A 30-year-old man is in stable condition at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre after sustaining burns in a late-night house fire in All Saints, according to Antigua.news.
The blaze broke out just before midnight, quickly engulfing and destroying a wooden residential structure before spreading to an adjacent shop. Both buildings suffered extensive damage as firefighters worked to contain the flames.
The man sustained serious burns to both hands. Emergency Medical Services responded swiftly, transporting him to hospital where he is receiving treatment. Medical staff have described his burns as minor overall.
