Thirty-five first responders from Antigua and Barbuda's safety forces have completed an intensive three-day course in Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Response and Management, according to Antigua Observer. The Police Training School was transformed into a simulation zone for the exercise, bringing together a multidisciplinary team to tackle the growing challenges posed by chemical and toxic threats.
The training was designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of hazardous material incidents. By converting the Police Training School into an active simulation environment, organisers sought to provide first responders with practical, hands-on experience that mirrors real-world emergency scenarios.
