The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) has issued an important deadline for electors seeking to transfer between constituencies ahead of the General Elections scheduled for 30 April 2026. According to Antigua News Room, the deadline applies to both constituency transfers and first-time registrants.

Electors who applied on or before 28 February 2026 to transfer from one constituency to another must complete the transfer process no later than 6:00 p.m. on Friday, 10 April 2026, at ABEC Headquarters. Those who fail to meet this deadline will be required to cast their vote in the constituency from which the transfer was originally sought.

In a separate but related matter, persons who registered to vote for the first time on or before 28 February 2026 are confirmed eligible to participate in the upcoming General Elections. Their eligibility follows the completion of the claims and objections process, and their names have been included on the official List of Electors for the 30 April 2026 elections.

ABEC closed its notice by thanking the public for its cooperation and attention to these matters.
