Teneshia Warren is desperately searching for her teenage son, Tejornie Mannix, who has twice fled medical care and remains missing somewhere on the island, according to Antigua.news.
Mannix, who recently began displaying mental health issues, was first taken to hospital last Tuesday. He fled the facility shortly after admission, was recaptured by police, and was readmitted — only to flee again on Thursday.
His mother describes him as being in a vulnerable and disoriented state, behaving completely out of character. "He wasn't born with a mental issue. He started displaying this recently. We still haven't found him," Warren said. "I'm begging anyone who sees him to please reach out. He needs help."
Adding to the family's concern are visible bruises on Mannix's body, which have heightened fears for his safety while he remains at large and without care.
Warren is urging the public to approach her son with caution and compassion, warning that his condition may cause him to react unpredictably. Misreading his behavior, she cautioned, could escalate into a dangerous situation.
"I just want him safe," she said. "Please, if you see him, don't chase him — call me right away."
Anyone with information on Tejornie Mannix's whereabouts is asked to contact his mother at 725-0118 or report to the nearest police station immediately.
