Kendra Beazer, an educator, youth mentor, and elected member of the Barbuda Council, has officially launched a campaign under the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) banner. According to Antigua News Room, the campaign carries the rallying call: "One Barbuda. One Future. A Better Barbuda with Beazer!"
Beazer's platform centers on inclusive development grounded in the principle that "development is place-based and people-based." He brings substantial professional experience to the race, having served as a lecturer at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus, a Just Transition Advisor with the United Nations Office for Project Services, and as founder of local resilience organizations. His background spans sustainable development, education, and community empowerment.
The campaign identifies four key priorities. The first is community-centered growth — ensuring that Barbuda's development reflects the voices and needs of its people. The second is youth empowerment, with a focus on expanding opportunities in education, mentorship, and leadership for the next generation. The third priority is resilience and sustainability, aimed at building stronger systems to protect Barbuda's environment, economy, and future. The fourth is collective leadership, promoting collaboration across civil society, government, and grassroots organizations.
Speaking on air, Beazer outlined his vision for the island. "Barbuda's strength lies in its people," he said. "Together, we can build a future that honors our heritage, uplifts our youth, and secures prosperity for generations to come."
The campaign will include community events, collaborative forums, and outreach initiatives designed to engage Barbudans across the island in shaping their collective future. Beazer's approach, as reported by Antigua News Room, reflects a lifelong commitment to service, mentorship, and resilience.
