A community activist is demanding stronger intervention measures as the search intensifies for a missing teenager who has reportedly been sighted in multiple locations across Antigua.

According to Antigua News Room, activist Mary John made a public appeal after the teen, identified as Tejornie, was reportedly spotted several times on Sunday. John said the sightings occurred near the salt pond by the desalination plant close to Fort James Beach, as well as in Villa, Yorks and along Central Street. She also claimed the teenager has been returning to his parents' property during the early morning hours.

John stressed the urgency of establishing where Tejornie is sleeping, arguing that this information is critical to ensuring his safety and securing his recovery.

The activist also called on staff at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre to strengthen safeguards against further escapes, ahead of the teen receiving a psychiatric assessment and a potential transfer to the Clarevue Psychiatric Hospital.

John stated that the teenager requires a controlled, stable environment in order to recover. She urged members of the public in Bay Street, Dredge Bay, Yorks and Fort Road to help by sharing his image and reporting any information about his movements to the relevant authorities.

Authorities have not yet publicly confirmed the reported sightings.
