The Hopeful Hearts Foundation (HHF) has officially launched a new youth group initiative designed to empower young people between the ages of 11 and 18 across Antigua and Barbuda, according to Antigua News Room.
The initiative was developed to provide youth with a safe and supportive environment in which they can express themselves, share their perspectives, and engage in meaningful dialogue. HHF identified a gap between young people's ideas and their ability to voice them confidently, and the programme aims to bridge that divide.
The youth group will centre on building confidence, encouraging open dialogue, and fostering leadership skills among its members. Through interactive sessions, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on experiences, participants will develop their voices while also engaging in volunteerism and community outreach efforts — reinforcing the value of giving back and driving positive change.
Kristine Louisa, founder of HHF, underscored the importance of creating inclusive spaces for young people. "This initiative is about ensuring that young people feel seen, heard, and valued. Their voices matter, and we are committed to helping them realize their potential and their impact," she said.
The launch marks another step in HHF's broader mission to support youth development and strengthen community engagement throughout Antigua and Barbuda.
