Member of Parliament for St John's Rural East, Maria Vanessa Browne, led a three-day bulk waste collection exercise across the constituency over the weekend, according to Antigua News Room, as part of ongoing efforts to improve conditions in local communities.
The initiative resulted in the removal of large volumes of waste and ran alongside a parallel programme targeting derelict vehicles, with the combined effort aimed at restoring order across several neighbourhoods within the constituency.
Browne thanked residents for their cooperation and patience, emphasising that strong community participation was central to the exercise's success. She also extended acknowledgement to the teams and volunteers who supported the clean-up operation throughout its three days.
The drive forms part of continued constituency work focused on building cleaner, safer environments and raising the overall quality of life for residents of St John's Rural East.
