The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC) has announced the postponement of the official launch event for Antigua Carnival 2026, citing scheduling conflicts.

According to Antigua.news, the launch, which had been set for Saturday, April 11 at the Rising Sun Grounds, will no longer proceed as originally planned. The Commission issued the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.

The ABFC attributed the decision to scheduling conflicts and other significant activities taking place during the same period. A new date for the launch is expected to be announced in the coming days.

The Commission thanked the public for its continued support and urged patrons to follow its official platforms for updates as planning moves forward.

Officials also called on the public to continue embracing the spirit of Carnival under this year's theme, "Feel the Rhythm," as preparations press ahead for what the Commission describes as another vibrant season of festivities.
