Commissioner of Police Everton Jeffers has returned to Antigua and Barbuda after representing the nation at the Regional Security System Chiefs of Security Meeting in St. Lucia — his first regional engagement since assuming the post.
According to Antigua Observer, Jeffers departed on Tuesday, March 24th, to attend the two-day meeting, which was convened from March 25th to 26th and chaired by regional security officials.
The Regional Security System serves as a collective defence and security organisation for several Eastern Caribbean states, and the annual Chiefs of Security Meeting brings together top law enforcement officials from member nations to address shared security concerns across the region.
