A thanksgiving service honouring the life of former Minister of Works and Housing, Eustace Sylvester Lake, was held on Sunday, March 30, at St. Andrew's Anglican Church on Fort Road. He was subsequently laid to rest at Tranquility Park Cemetery.

According to Antigua Observer, Lake — affectionately known as 'Teco' — passed away on February 20 at the age of 62. Friends, family, and colleagues gathered to remember him as a friend, a brother, and a mentor.

Lake served as a parliamentarian and held the post of Minister of Works and Housing during his time in public life, leaving a legacy of service that those close to him say extended well beyond his official duties.
