A 16-year-old student who was stabbed at the West Bus Station has recovered and returned to school following emergency medical treatment, according to Antigua News Room.

Jakeem Benjamin, a student at Ottos Comprehensive School, resumed classes after sustaining multiple stab wounds during an altercation at the transportation hub on February 27.

Police reported that Benjamin suffered puncture wounds to the left side of his abdomen. He was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for emergency treatment, where his condition was initially listed as serious. He has since made a recovery and is reported to be doing well.

A 16-year-old boy from Bendals was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Police investigations into the matter remain ongoing.
