Governor General Sir Rodney Williams paid tribute to doctors across Antigua and Barbuda and the diaspora on Thursday, marking International Doctors' Day with a Church Service held at the Holy Family Cathedral.
According to Antigua News Room, Sir Rodney praised the dedication, compassion, and service of medical professionals, highlighting their vital role in supporting individuals and families during the most critical moments of life.
"A healthy nation is a productive nation," the Governor General stated, reaffirming the importance of sustained investment in healthcare, wellness, and prevention.
Sir Rodney also encouraged citizens to express gratitude to doctors and all those who support the health sector. He commended the Antigua and Barbuda Medical Association for organising the commemorative activities marking the occasion.
