A 41-year-old prison officer and a 16-year-old boy were hospitalised following a two-vehicle collision in Paynters on Friday evening, according to Antigua.news.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., though the exact circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear. Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene, assisting both the woman, who was driving one of the vehicles, and her teenage passenger before transporting them for medical treatment.
Both individuals reportedly complained of pain to the back, neck, and head.
The Paynters incident capped an exceptionally demanding evening for EMS teams across the island. As reported by Antigua.news, the collision was the third crash to occur within a two-hour span on Friday evening. The two earlier incidents both resulted in fatalities.
