Two people have died in separate road crashes that occurred within the span of an hour in Antigua, according to Antigua News Room.
In the second incident, a man lost his life after his vehicle overturned along the main road near the YIDA Special Economic Zone. Preliminary information indicates he lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the roadway and flipped into nearby bushes.
Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene, extricated the driver from the wreckage, and administered CPR before transporting him to hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
The crash followed an earlier fatal incident in Freetown, where a female motorist died after her vehicle struck a fence. Responding personnel indicated she may have lost consciousness prior to the collision.
Authorities have not released further details as investigations into both incidents remain ongoing.
