The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is investigating the sudden death of 48-year-old Karen Pigott of Wireless Road, following an incident in Freetown on Friday evening.

At approximately 6:20 p.m. on March 27, police received a report that a motor vehicle had driven into a hedge along a by-road in Freetown. Officers arrived to find a grey Toyota Ractis stationary in a hedge on the eastern side of the road, with its lone female occupant slouched in the driver's seat and unresponsive.

Emergency Medical Services were summoned and conducted examinations on scene, but detected no signs of life. A medical doctor subsequently visited the location and officially pronounced the woman dead at approximately 8:05 p.m. Foul play is not suspected.

The Police Administration has extended sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. The investigation remains ongoing.
