JCI Antigua hosted its 5th Annual Recycle and Create Competition on Tuesday, March 24th, at the Multipurpose Cultural Centre, bringing together more than 28 students from schools across the island in observance of National Recycling Day.
Participants showcased their creativity and environmental awareness by transforming recyclable materials into original creations. The competition, now in its fifth year, continues to serve as a platform for encouraging young people to embrace sustainability and innovative thinking.
JCI Antigua President Collet Gordon praised the students for their vision and commitment to environmental responsibility. "The ideas and creations showcased here today prove that the next generation is not only aware of this responsibility, but ready to lead the way," she said. "You are transforming discarded materials into meaningful works, and in doing so, you are reshaping how we think about consumption, conservation, and community."

1st Place – Shemarie Williams, Pares Primary School 2nd Place – Tareas Joseph, Liberta Primary School 3rd Place – K'Nizia Thomas, Old Road Primary School
JCI Antigua extended thanks to the Ministry of Education, sponsors, partners, supporting schools, and all who contributed to the event's success. The organisation reaffirmed its commitment to empowering youth, fostering innovation, and promoting environmental stewardship across Antigua and Barbuda.
