Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced on Wednesday that parliament will be prorogued, according to Antigua News Room.
Browne made the announcement during a parliamentary sitting, indicating he would deliver a formal statement on the matter shortly. "In fact I will make a statement, not to preempt, very shortly that parliament will be prorogued," he said.
The Prime Minister made the remarks during a session that included tributes to late MP Eustace Lake, newly sworn-in MP Randy Baltimore, and outgoing MP Sir Molwyn Joseph.
