The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) has announced it will not contest the upcoming snap general elections in Antigua and Barbuda.
According to Antigua Observer, the decision was reached unanimously following a meeting of the party's Management Committee. In a statement issued this week, the DNA confirmed it will sit out the elections, which are expected to be called by the Prime Minister next month.
The DNA, which was founded as an alternative political voice in Antigua and Barbuda, did not outline in the statement the specific reasons behind the decision to abstain from the electoral contest.
