The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) is urging all eligible voters to renew their Voter ID cards without delay as preparations for the upcoming General Elections intensify. According to Antigua News Room, the party is calling on citizens to visit their respective registration units as soon as possible to avoid last-minute delays and ensure their full participation in the electoral process.
The ABLP has framed voter readiness as a critical component of democratic participation, stressing that all identification cards must be valid and up to date before elections are held.
"As we move toward the next step in the electoral cycle, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party is fully prepared and confident in the continued support of the electorate. We encourage all citizens to play their part by ensuring their voter identification is current, so that their voices can be heard at the polls," the party stated.
The ABLP described the call for preparedness as a reflection of its broader commitment to a smooth and inclusive electoral process. The party also used the announcement to reaffirm its readiness to return to voters with what it described as a record of delivery and a clear vision for the future.
The party maintained that the upcoming elections will present a defining choice for the nation — one between stability and uncertainty — and argued that its track record in development, people-centred policies, and economic stewardship positions it as the strongest option to continue leading Antigua and Barbuda.
The ABLP reaffirmed its commitment to building on existing gains and delivering further opportunities for citizens across all communities, citing the need for strong and experienced leadership to secure the country's future.
The party closed its statement with a direct appeal, urging all voters to act promptly, renew their Voter ID cards, and remain engaged as the nation moves closer to General Elections.
