Prime Minister Gaston Browne has expressed his condolences to the families of two teenagers fatally shot in Villa on Thursday morning, as police intensify their investigation into the killings.

According to Antigua.news, 17-year-old Omari Lewis and 18-year-old Brianna Clarke were shot and killed by unknown assailants on Hans Street in what residents have described as a brazen mid-morning attack. Both victims sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head, leaving the community shaken and demanding answers.

The motive behind the double killing remains unclear. Investigators are actively pursuing leads and have appealed to the public for any information that may help identify those responsible.

Prime Minister Browne, who also serves as Member of Parliament for St John's City West, visited the scene shortly after the incident. He was briefed by investigators and met with grieving family members. Visibly moved, he offered words of comfort and solidarity to those mourning the loss of the young couple.
