The grandmother of 17-year-old Brianna Clark is demanding justice following the killing of her granddaughter in a brazen daytime shooting in Villa, describing the teenager as "a gem" who excelled in school and stayed out of trouble.

According to Antigua News Room, Clark and her boyfriend, Omari Lewis, were shot and killed on Hanns Street in Villa on Thursday in an attack that has stunned the community and left two families in mourning.

"I would want the full extent of the law, because the person's life you just took away, she was a gem," Blondelle Hopkins said in an emotional interview.

Hopkins described her granddaughter as "innocent" — a student who never engaged in fights and had no disciplinary record throughout her five years at school. The family had been looking forward to celebrating Clark's graduation this year.

"She never had any detention, nothing… she's just next to perfect," Hopkins said.

Hopkins is calling for those responsible to be held fully accountable as the investigation into the double killing continues.
