The mother of a 16-year-old youth cricketer murdered last year says her family has received no updates from police nearly a year after her son's death.

According to Antigua Observer, the mother of Vonde Bowers has spoken out about the lack of communication from authorities following her son's killing, expressing frustration that the family remains without answers.

"My son was…" she said, as reported by Antigua Observer, underlining the pain and uncertainty the family continues to endure.

Bowers, a young cricketer whose life was cut short, has yet to see justice served on his behalf. His mother confirmed that police have not provided the family with any updates since his untimely death.

The case has left a grieving family in limbo, waiting for progress in an investigation that has so far yielded no visible results. Nearly a year after losing their son, the Bowers family continues to call for answers.
