The murder case against Angela Mejia, the woman accused of killing nine-year-old Chantel Crump, has been committed to the May Assizes following the submission of a prosecution exhibit list in the St. John's Magistrates' Court on Monday. According to Antigua.news, the case will proceed to the High Court, where a trial date will be set during the May Assizes sitting.
The updated exhibit list contains at least 28 items, including two CD-ROMs — one holding approximately 40 crime scene photographs and another containing over 150 autopsy images. Also listed are a pathology report and a flash drive described as forensic evidence linked to Chantel Crump.
Among the physical exhibits are items of clothing recovered from the scene, including a Five Islands Primary School uniform, pink and white underwear, black school shoes, and a white vest. Additional items on the list include two KFC bags and cups, as well as a flashlight.
