The Ministry of Agriculture is significantly expanding its summer internship programme this year, doubling the number of student participants as it works to cultivate a new generation of agricultural professionals in Antigua and Barbuda.

Communications Officer Carol-Faye Bynoe-George announced that the 2026 Agriculture Internship Summer Programme will run from the 26th of — with twice as many students set to participate compared to previous years.

The expansion reflects the Ministry's commitment to engaging young people in the agricultural sector and strengthening the pipeline of local talent needed to support the country's food security and farming industry.
