Christopher Howell, widely known by his moniker Yung Luiy, has died following a battle with critical illness at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, according to Antigua News Room.

Howell had been admitted to intensive care after suffering kidney failure alongside a serious liver condition. The illnesses left him in a coma, requiring both dialysis and life support.

In the days preceding his death, his family had mounted a public appeal for blood donations to aid in his treatment. They subsequently launched a GoFundMe campaign, setting a $5,000 goal to help cover the mounting medical expenses associated with his care.

His mother, Claudette Armstrong, had described the situation as dire. She said her son was "fighting for his life" and expressed her gratitude to all those who responded with donations, blood contributions, and by sharing the family's appeal.

The family has since conveyed their thanks to members of the public who answered their calls for assistance during Howell's illness.

Further details regarding funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in due course.
