A family is appealing to the public for help identifying a man captured on surveillance footage following an incident involving a young girl at a supermarket near Old Parham Road.
A relative of the child shared details on social media Sunday, stating that the man entered the supermarket, located near a patty shop on Old Parham Road, and allegedly approached the girl, who was unknown to him. The child had gone to the store to make a purchase.
The encounter left the minor visibly shaken, and she returned home to her parents immediately afterward.
"Help us locate him… so we can get the name to the police officers that are involved," the family's post read, describing the individual as "the guy in the white."
Surveillance footage from the store captured an image of a man dressed in a white shirt and dark pants inside the establishment. The family has confirmed the matter has been reported to police and is urging anyone who recognises the individual to come forward with information to assist investigators.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
