A 23-year-old Canadian national has been arrested and charged following the discovery of over $208,000 worth of cannabis at V.C. Bird International Airport.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, 21 March, officers from the Narcotics Department, the K-9 Unit, and the Customs Enforcement Unit conducted a joint drug interdiction operation at the airport. The seized substance totalled 26 pounds, with an estimated street value of $208,000 ECC. He is expected to face charges in connection with drug-related offences.

The Police Administration is reminding the public that strict enforcement measures remain in place to deter and prosecute individuals involved in drug-related activities.
