Restoration work has begun on a 1.2 million imperial gallon water storage tank at Crabbs, as part of the government's ongoing push to upgrade the nation's water infrastructure.

According to Antigua News Room, Utilities Minister Melford Nicholas shared a video update on the project, confirming that the rehabilitation is part of broader improvements across the Water Utilities system.

"Restoration of this 1.2 million imperial gallon storage tank is underway at Crabbs. The infrastructural development and renovation of the country's Water Utilities continues apace," Nicholas stated in the post.

The project is expected to boost water storage capacity and support more reliable distribution to surrounding communities, as authorities continue to address longstanding supply challenges across the country.

No timeline for the completion of the work has yet been provided by officials.
