A new fund aimed at expanding mental health access for young people has officially launched in Antigua and Barbuda. According to Antigua News Room, the Youth Mental Health Fund opens under the 2026 Youth Mental Health and Holistic Wellness Access Programme, known as YMHAP.
The programme provides vouchers to help eligible youth and their families offset the cost of mental health services. It is being implemented by the Antigua and Barbuda Holistic Coalition with support from the Mill Reef Fund.
Covered services include individual, family, and group counselling, psychiatric care, and psychological testing and evaluations. Eligibility extends to young people between the ages of six and 25 who reside in Antigua and Barbuda and are currently receiving or seeking mental health counselling, psychiatric care, or psychological testing.
Organisers say the programme is designed to ensure that mental health support is accessible, dignified, and within reach for young people and their families across the country.
Applications are now open and can be submitted online through the programme's official Google Form.
