Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emmanuel has ruled that the list of exhibits submitted by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in the Chantel Crump murder matter is incomplete, setting a firm deadline for the prosecution to remedy the deficiency.

According to Antigua News Room, during Wednesday's proceedings at the St John's Magistrates' Court, the prosecution acknowledged the incomplete submission and requested additional time to correct it. Magistrate Emmanuel granted the request, giving the DPP's office until March 23, 2026, to file a complete list of exhibits.

The case centres on Angela Mejia, who stands accused in connection with the death of nine-year-old Chantel Crump. The matter has already been committed to the High Court for trial.

The additional exhibits are expected to form a critical part of the prosecution's case when proceedings formally begin at the High Court level.
