A committal hearing for a man accused in the death of a visiting Guyanese law student has been adjourned to 3 June, according to Antigua News Room.

Victor Ince, 24, of Lightfoot West, appeared in court Wednesday before Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel, who set the new date. Prosecutors have been given until 15 April to provide the defence with the full case file.

Ince faces two charges: the forcible seizure and confinement of 19-year-old Joyleen Abraham, and unlawfully causing her death.

Abraham, a law student at the University of Guyana, had travelled to Antigua to visit a friend. She was found unresponsive on 7 May 2025 along a by-road connecting New Winthorpes Village to the Jabberwock main road in the Judges Estate area.
