ST. JOHN'S, Antigua — The Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre is inviting the public to participate in its annual World Down Syndrome Awareness Family Fun Ride, set for Sunday, March 22, 2026. According to Antigua News Room, the event is organised in collaboration with the Antigua and Barbuda Cycling Federation and supported by Good Humans 268 Inc.

The free event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, with special prize categories planned across various groups. Organisers have also arranged for a stationary bike to be available on site, ensuring that those unable to ride can still take part in the festivities.

The ride is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. along LIAT Road in Coolidge, St. George's. Organisers are encouraging residents to attend alongside friends and family in a show of solidarity with individuals living with Down syndrome.

Event coordinators have emphasised that inclusion and community engagement remain central to the occasion, urging the public to come out and support a cause that highlights the importance of awareness and acceptance for all members of society.
