The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is appealing to the public for information following a fatal stabbing in the Newfield area that claimed the life of 38-year-old Daniel Lewis of Glanvilles.
According to Antigua News Room, the incident took place during the early hours of Monday, March 16, at Lion's Estate. Investigators are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913, or to call the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline at 800-TIPS (8477).
Preliminary reports indicate that Lewis allegedly entered the home of a resident in the Newfield area, where a confrontation ensued. During the altercation, he reportedly sustained a wound to the lower part of his body.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but Lewis was pronounced dead at approximately 8:38 a.m. Police have stated that investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident remain ongoing. The Royal Police Force has also extended its condolences to Lewis's family and loved ones.
