Newly elected St. Philip North Member of Parliament Randy Baltimore has thanked his supporters and campaign team following his victory in Monday's by-election, pledging to continue addressing the issues affecting the constituency. According to Antigua News Room, Baltimore spoke shortly after the result was announced.
Opening his remarks with a note of gratitude, Baltimore said, "Let me give thanks to the Mosaic God. Without Him, this could have never been possible."
He went on to acknowledge the backing of party members and leadership. "I thank all the comrades who supported me, all the comrades who campaigned with me from the different constituencies, our prime minister, all the members of the cabinet who came out in their numbers," he said.
Baltimore described the campaign as one grounded in the concerns of ordinary residents. "We ran a clean campaign. We campaigned on the issues, we campaigned on the concerns of the people," he said, adding that his team would "continue to work for the people of St. Philip's North."
Closing his remarks, Baltimore encouraged supporters to celebrate while keeping focus on the road ahead. "We will go out, we will share the happiness to each and every one… The work continues. God bless you. God bless St. Philip's North," he said.
