Randy Baltimore of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) has won the St. Philip North by-election by a commanding margin, according to Antigua News Room, which reported the final results after all seven ballot boxes were counted.
Baltimore secured 924 votes to United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne's 407 votes, confirming a decisive victory for the ABLP. The final ballot box, from Polling Division C — Newfield Primary School (A–Z), added 149 votes for Baltimore and 42 for Browne, with one ballot rejected.
The by-election was called following the retirement of longtime St. Philip North Member of Parliament Sir Robin Yearwood, whose parliamentary career spanned roughly five decades.
With the result confirmed, Baltimore will take his seat in Parliament as the new representative for St. Philip North, maintaining the ABLP's hold on the constituency.
