A man in his thirties from Newfield has died following an alleged altercation with his mother-in-law at a residence in the community, according to Antigua.news.
Preliminary reports indicate the incident began during a confrontation inside the home. The mother-in-law reportedly alleged that the man — said to be the common-law husband of her daughter — entered the residence and attempted to sexually assault her.
The confrontation escalated, and the man sustained fatal injuries as a result. Although the altercation is reported to have begun inside the house, the man was subsequently discovered in nearby bushes.
