The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission has released a set of guidelines for voters ahead of the St. Philip North by-election, scheduled for March 16, 2026.

According to Antigua News Room, the Commission issued a public advisory reminding residents that polling will run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Voters are encouraged to arrive prepared and follow all instructions from polling officials to ensure the process proceeds smoothly.

Electors are advised to bring their voter identification cards, listen carefully to directions from the presiding officer, and pay close attention to party symbols on the ballot before making their selection. The Commission stressed that voters must choose only one candidate and should seek clarification from polling officials if they are uncertain about any aspect of the process.

Several restrictions will be enforced at polling stations. Mobile phones and smartwatches will be collected upon entry and will not be permitted inside the voting area. Voters are also expected to conduct themselves respectfully and refrain from any disruptive behaviour.

The Commission further cautioned electors against marking ballots for more than one candidate and advised against wearing party colours to polling stations. In keeping with electoral regulations designed to maintain order and neutrality, no election paraphernalia will be allowed within 100 yards of any polling station.

Residents of the St. Philip North constituency will head to the polls on Monday to elect their parliamentary representative in the by-election.
