A third serious motor vehicle accident along the Five Islands road has left one passenger hospitalized and renewed calls from residents for urgent action to address what many are calling a dangerous stretch of highway.

According to Antigua.news, the latest crash marks the third incident at the same location in less than a month. Details regarding the hospitalized passenger's condition have not yet been officially confirmed.

Photos from the scene, captured by Shermain Bique-Charles, show a blue vehicle overturned on the roadside and sustaining extensive structural damage. The car appears to have rolled onto its roof, with its undercarriage fully exposed. The front section of the vehicle is severely crushed, indicating either a high-impact collision or a significant loss of control before the vehicle flipped.

Both driver-side doors were forced open upon impact. Debris — including broken components and loose interior parts — was scattered along the edge of the road, further illustrating the force of the crash.

Residents say the repeated incidents at the same spot are no coincidence, and they are pressing authorities to investigate and address conditions along the road. Three accidents at the same location within weeks has intensified community pressure for intervention before another crash occurs.
