The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC) has outlined the requirements for electors in the St. Philip North Constituency who need a Special Identification Card ahead of the upcoming by-election. According to Antigua News Room, the Special ID cards will be issued on Monday, March 16, 2026, at the St. Philip North Registration Unit, located at the Glanvilles Community Centre.
The Registration Unit will operate from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to accommodate applicants. The special ID cards are available to electors who need to replace an expired Voter's ID Card or who have lost their valid Voter's ID Card.
Electors applying for the Special ID Card must bring a passport-size photograph. ABEC has advised that the Special ID document will be retained at Polling Stations after use.
For those who have not yet replaced an expired Voter's ID Card, the process mirrors the standard Expired Replacement Card Process. Those applicants are required to present the following documents:
• A valid government-issued identification
• Proof of address
• A certified passport-size photograph
ABEC is encouraging all electors who require this service to visit the Registration Unit within the specified hours to ensure the process is completed in a timely manner.
