A nine-week youth development programme concluded with a closing ceremony at Ottos Comprehensive School on Saturday, 7th March, marking the end of the Vision Map Workshop that launched on 14th January.
According to Antigua Observer, the initiative was conceived by Dr. Dona Gudger, an Antiguan and Barbudan-born psychologist currently based in the United States. Dr. Gudger partnered with local stakeholders to bring the programme to fruition, targeting the development of young people in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Vision Map Workshop spanned nine weeks and was designed to equip youth participants with skills and tools aimed at fostering personal growth and forward-thinking. The closing ceremony at Ottos Comprehensive School served as a formal recognition of the participants' commitment and progress throughout the programme.
Dr. Gudger's decision to invest in youth development in her homeland highlights a growing trend of diaspora professionals contributing to social programmes in Antigua and Barbuda. The workshop reflects broader efforts to address youth development through structured, psychologically informed frameworks.
